Visiting SLIM

Can I just say…WHAT A FREAKIN Sunday that was! I would have never imagined myself doing school stuff on a Sunday morning!

That’s a picture in the car with my friend…that’s Sands and me…smiling (Sands, i placed your picture to even-out my beauty. CHOS! :D)

It was an extra-freaky-unglamorous morning! But I had to go since it was for our SA class. Eeek. So we went there a little early like an hour or two before it opens so we went around a little bit and saw Lapu-Lapu’s Statue/Monument. I thought it was in Cebu! Maybe they got tired of staring at his ¾-naked body so they brought it to Manila. It was really funny to discover Filipino’s creativity in our language…Kalokohan.

I don’t really get how the “2big” is funny but it is. Resourceful diba?! tipid sa ink much? :D

I loved playing with Mr. Lapu! He doesn’t mind even if I try pinching his ass cheek and look for his crotch

This was what I was waiting for the whole time we were there! To see the SLIM
exhibit!
YAY!

As a pakialamera I took that selling counter thingy and broke a glass in the
process. And I didn’t get caught! Its so funny cause I broke a more expensive
one before and had to pay for it! SUCKS!

After waiting for an hour, We went inside and saw some really cool stuff. Like Shells and stuff they used to make walls. And of course clothes! I don’t like history but when merged with something I love, like fashion…I salivate! It was super cool cause I found out that people from before was super fasyown! As you can see in the next pictures (Note: the pictures are quite dark cause the guards didn’t allow

cameras and photos so I tried using my phone instead---Incognito style):

These were the 18th century “It” bags! Cool right?! The one below I thought was a fur breast plate! I read the label and found out it was…Chanel! No im kidding, it was a furry back pack! It looks better live and up-close.

This was the shell wall I was talking about! Wouldn’t it be cool if McQueen placed this installation in his last collection! So sad.

R.I.P Lee.

It was getting quite of boring to listen about the other stuff so I sneaked out and went to the fourth floor where SLIM’s exhibition was. IT WAS GLORY AND BEAUTY ALL AT THE SAME TIME! I was seriously about to cry when I saw the beauty of those clothes! It was just breathtaking! They didn’t allow me to take pictures but the pasaway inside me just had to sneak some out (and by some i mean 2! HAHA!)

This one had its own corner cause it had a super long train and the whole thing was embedded with white floral embroidery and sequins! HARD WORK MUCH?! Grabe lang tong si Salvacion! GRABE! UHMAHZING!

I’ll repeat it again for redundance sake… WHAT A FREAKIN DAY IT WAS!
